Collina Strada

Uniqueness is hard to find and Collina Strada, by designer Hillary Taymour, fills that void by providing fun loving, curious and bold women with bags that break free from the rest. Created for those drawn by inspirational pieces, Collina Strada is a true combination of vintage and modern style, created to seamlessly translate from season to season. Collina Strada keeps sustainability in mind by hand-making each piece in New York with eco-conscious materials.

We are super excited to show her this season at Fresh Faces. Word on the street is she’s going to make some heads roll for Spring.

Eighteenth

Falling in love with Eighteenth was the easy part, convincing myself not to pre-order each & every piece of the Fall collection proved much more difficult. Eighteenth’s inaugural collection, for SS10, consisted of six t-shirts that gained attention due to designer Alexa Galler’s use of non-traditional angles, cut-outs and asymmetry.

Now in it’s 5th season, Eighteenth has developed into a full fledge collection that continues to innovatively use these elements to re-imagine basic garments - much to the delight of every woman in NYC!

Ace & Jig

Beyond being two of the nicest designers I’ve ever met, Cary and Jenna might be two of the most brilliant as well. Getting their start in fashion over a decade ago, these two met while cutting their teeth as interns at a fashion house. After years of hard work and dedication they eventually found themselves as head designers at LaRok launching the label and taking it to a success well into the seven digits.

After taking a break to have babies and some much needed r&r the girls are back, bringing their love for textiles and eye for design into a wonderfully wearable line called Ace & Jig.

Sunghee Bang

Few designers are bold enough to start their own clothing line straight out of fashion school, but few designers are like the one-woman-wonder known as Sunghee Bang.

After a steady stream of internships with New York designers Donna Karan, J Mendel, Jill Stuart and Peter Som, Sunghee gained knowledge of the industry, and further developed her own unique vision.

In 2008, several of Sunghee’s print designs found their way into Alexander McQueen’s Spring-Summer 2009 collection. Her apprenticeship with this prestigious design house in London solidified her desire to be a big international designer in her own right.

Not long after, her collection - Sunghee Bang - was born.

Find out more about Sunghee here & view her runway presentation of SS12 during Gen Art’s Fresh Faces in Fashion show here.
